A WONDERFUL YEAR by Nick Bruel
BCCB, February 2015 issue
“Bruel combines comic book and picture-book layouts, rendering his heroine and her animal companions with a heavy solidity that plays comically against the airy-fairy unreality permeating her Everygirl experiences.”

Sublicensed Edition of the Week

Antoinette Portis’ Froodle is filled with fun onomatopoeias from all different kinds of birds! Here is the Japanese edition from Asunaro Shobo – and as a bonus, the front flap features some of the exciting sounds Asunaro created for their book.

Froodle is a fabulously inventive picture book about what happens when a little brown bird grows tired of singing the same old song...
It received a starred review from Kirkus and has been licensed in two territories.
Up next from Antoinette Portis: Wait (July 2015), a simple, sweet picture book about the joys of waiting and taking in what is around you.
