DELILAH DIRK AND THE KING’S SHILLING by Tony Cliff
Bustle, April 24, 2015: “Delilah Dirk and the King’s Shilling Cover Is Ready, And Here's Why I'm So Excited To Show It To You”
“The King’s Shilling has been in the works for a long time, and I’m proud of the ways in which it improves on The Turkish Lieutenant. The art is more consistent, the plot is tighter, and (fingers crossed) the funny parts are funnier.”
REVIEWS:
DRAGONS BEWARE! by Jorge Aguirre, illus. by Rafael Rosado
Booklist, May 15, 2015 issue
“After the rollicking fun and satisfying lessons learned in Giants Beware! (2012) , this follow-up proves there are still plenty of adventures left to be had, as the town of Mont Petite Pierre is under siege by the ghastly gargoyles of a pompous wizard from the town’s past.”

LENNY & LUCY by Philip C. Stead, illus. by Erin E. Stead
Kirkus, ALA/BEA issue: STARRED REVIEW!
« “Hypnotic artwork and storytelling invite children to linger in the wild woods of worry and emerge intact, enriched, and utterly invigorated by this complex, contemporary fairy tale.”
WAIT by Antoinette Portis
Publishers Weekly, May 1, 2015 issue: 3rd STARRED REVIEW!
« “Economy and affection give this story the dimensions of a classic.”
RETURN TO AUGIE HOBBLE by Lane Smith
Wall Street Journal, May 1, 2015
“Peppered with Mr. Smith’s distinctive, pointy-edged illustrations, this unusual, ultimately exultant story for 9- to 13-year-olds is tinged with the supernatural and heartbreaking at its core.”
Publishers Weekly, May 7, 2015: Hot Off the Presses Feature
“The Caldecott Honor illustrator of The Stinky Cheese Man and others releases his first novel, in which a young artist who has flunked his art class must work at a run-down amusement park for the summer.”
WHAT JAMES SAID by Liz Rosenberg, illus. by Matthew Myers

REVIEWS:
BLOOD WILL TELL: Point Last Seen, Book #2 by April Henry
Booklist, May 15, 2015 issue
“Like a good crime procedural, the story moves easily between Nick’s personal story, the killer’s story, and the criminal investigation.”
THE BOOK SCAVENGER by Jennifer Chambliss Bertman
Booklist, May 15, 2015 issue
“Readers may find themselves wishing they could play Book Scavenger, too.”
GOOD NIGHT, FIREFLY by Gabriel Alborozo
Booklist, May 15, 2015 issue

New Cover Alert!
The Great Pet Escape by Victoria Jamieson is an adorable, antic dash through Daisy P. Flugelhorn Elementary School. The class pets want OUT…and GW (short for George Washington), the deceptively cute hamster in the second-grade classroom, is just the guy to lead the way. But when he finally escapes and goes to find his former partners in crime, Barry and Biter, he finds that they actually LIKE being class pets. Impossible!
Just as GW gets Barry and Biter to agree to leave with him, a mouse named Harriet and her many mouse minions get in their way. What follows is class-pet chaos guaranteed to make readers giggle…and maybe look at their class pets a little differently in the future.
VICTORIA JAMIESON is the author and illustrator of several books for children, including the New York Times-bestseller Roller Girl. She worked as a children's book designer before becoming a full-time illustrator. She has also worked as a portrait artist aboard a cruise ship and has lived in Australia, Italy, and Canada.

REVIEWS:
TROTO AND THE TRUCKS by Uri Shulevitz
Publishers Weekly, May 7, 2015: Hot Off the Presses Feature!
“The latest from the Caldecott Medalist is the underdog story of a little green car in the desert, and all the various vehicular characters he encounters.”
THE TROUBLE IN ME by Jack Gantos
Kirkus, ALA/BEA issue
“Jack's narrative has a Wimpy Kid tone and appeal as, looking back, he's well-aware of his own youthful fecklessness and almost eager to point out where he went wrong. But, not very surprisingly for readers who have been following his checkered career, he turns out to be a miserable failure at real evil.”
